My name is Corey Thompson. As an IT professional, my passion for technology is driven by a hands on approach to problem solving. Over the past few months, I've dedicated myself to building a solid foundation in IT, focused on both theoretical knowledge and practical application. 

I've earned key industry certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+, which have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of hardware, software, networking, and foundational cybersecurity principles. 

Additionally, my certification in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) has given me a strong introduction to cloud computing and it's growing importance in the IT landscape.

I believe the best way to learn is by doing. I've built multiple home labs to practice my skills in a real world environment. This has included setting up a full Active Directory domain, configuring Group Policies to enforce security standards, and working with Azure virtual machines for cloud administration and network managment.

My passion for cybersecurity led me to complete over 30 rooms on TryHackMe, including all rooms within the Pre Security path. This experience has been instrumental in expanding my understanding of network security, system hardening, and threat analysis, deepening my appreciation for proactive security measures.

I am currently seeking an IT role where I can apply my foundational skills and contribute to a team, grow my skills, and build a long term career in the IT field. I am always open to connecting with fellow IT professionals, mentors, and recruiters to discuss opportunities and share knowledge.
